Hi! My name's Heather, an eighteen year old college freshman. I was born in Darby, PA and have lived in Delaware County my whole life, but I travel out of the area sometimes. I lived in Havertown, PA until I was eight years old, and currently live in Broomall, PA. I live with my mom and dad and have a nineteen year old brother named Brandon, who attends the University of Pittsburgh. I learned how to speak Spanish for five years and know bits of French, Russian, Japanese, Italian, and Chinese. I graduated from Marple Newtown High School in June 2019, and I'm currently looking for a job. I don't have any pets...unless you count a rock, but if I could get one, I'd like a dog.
My past and current hobbies are ballet, bowling, swimming, gymnastics, karate, singing, reading, writing, and traveling. I still do bowling from time to time and I swim during my summers. I've traveled for nearly 15 years of my life and some of the most memorable places I've traveled to were Hawaii, New York, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. I went to Disney World in three separate summers and went to New Jersey five times. Sometimes, you'll hear me sing while I clean my house and I write once in a while.
The types of writing I do most often are poems, letters, short stories, lists, rhetorical speeches, journals, and texting. Most of the time, I write when I feel sad or overwhelmed and I write in my room or walking to and from places on my laptop or phone. I write to get my unheard opinions or thoughts down and to vent my frustrations over my daily life. When I write my journal entries, which are a more detailed version of my life, I go by Alesandra "Ali" Rose. Right now, my relationship with Ali Rose, my author self; is that we are similar to friends who haven't seen each other in a long time. But, I hope I can rediscover the joy of writing and regain a spiritual connection with her. I don't really have a favorite author/composer, but my favorite book genres are dystopian, fantasy, and biographies. My favorite genres of music are acoustic, rock, and pop (specifically, between 2000-2016). For more insight into my identity, please review my answers to the Proust Questionnaire.
